Dr. Katherine McKnight is an engaging speaker, devoted teacher, and published author. She began her career in teaching over 30 years ago as an English and social studies teacher in the Chicago Public Schools for middle and high school students.
She is a regular consultant in schools and classrooms around the United States, as well as lecturing worldwide, in addition to presenting at professional development conferences. McKnight's 15-year academic tenure at National Louis University culminated with her appointment as Distinguished Professor of Research. She founded Engaging Learners, a learning firm based on her successful Literacy & Learning Center approach.
