Karim Sadjadpour is an Iranian-American policy analyst and senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, specializing in Iran and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. Born and raised in Midland, Michigan, to Iranian parents, his interest in international relations was sparked while he was a teenage exchange student in Mexico. He holds a B.A.
from the University of Michigan and an M.A. from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies, which is located in Bologna, Italy. Previously, he served as chief Iran analyst at the International Crisis Group in Tehran and Washington, D.C.
