Kari Ann Lake, who was born on August 23, 1969, is a former American television news anchor and a political personality. She was the Republican nominee in the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election. Lake initiated her career in media during the early 1990s and served as the anchor for the Phoenix-based television station KSAZ-TV from 1999 to 2021.

She resigned from her anchor role just before announcing her candidacy for governor and secured the Republican nomination with the support of the former US President, Donald Trump.
