Since 2006, Karen Appleton Page has been an SV2 partner. She has served on the Finance committee and the Executive committee of the Board of Directors, as well as being a member of SV2's Strategic Planning Team and Partner Advisory Board. Karen Appleton is Box.net's Vice President of Business Development, where she is in charge of the company's high-growth initiatives. She develops, assesses, and arranges new business ventures, such as strategic alliances and collaborations. Prior to joining Box.org, Appleton Page worked at Prosper Marketplace as Vice President of Creation and a member of the executive team, where he was in charge of all aspects of growth, including acquisition and retention, as well as the development of ecosystem-based partnerships and alliances. Prior to joining Prosper, she worked at Citigroup/Smith Barney, where she was in charge of marketing, new client connections, and growth projects for the largest private wealth management team. She developed a team to generate revenues and extend existing and new client connections as Director of Business Development at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP. She was also the National Marketing Director for Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, LLP's business group. She oversaw business development for the state of Hawaii at Lexis-Nexis, where she established the firm's online product, supervised top-tier clients, and launched the firm's internet product. B Capital Group's Appleton Page is currently a General Partner. She has worked as an entrepreneur, an angel investor, and on a board of directors. She served on Apple's Enterprise GTM team, overseeing the commercial channel, strategic partners, the Mobility Partner Program, and the Industry team. She is well-known and recognized as a business leader. She was one of Box's first executives, in charge of GTM, establishing the company's approach to partnerships and business development, and fostering C-level connections and strategic projects. She serves on the boards of Plastiq and Pickit, as well as the Computer History Museum, Thorn, and The Newseum, where she formerly served as a trustee. She is also a member of Johns Hopkins Carey Business School's Dean's Advisory Council, as well as MIT's Solve.
