Julie Pace who covered Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign and has reported on his presidency ever since was appointed head of The Associated Press' staff at the White House in 2013. Pace joined AP's video operations in Washington in 2007 and a year later moved over to the campaign as a video and print reporter.
She is a 2004 graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She worked at e.tv a South African television station and as a freelancer in South Africa and Zambia in 2003 and 2004. From 2005 to 2007 she worked as a reporter at The Tampa (Fla.) Tribune.
