Fawcett, a founder member of the WUSA, left the WNT in 2004. She was the only member of the Women's National Team to play in every minute of the 1995, 1999, and 2003 World Cups, as well as the 1996 and 2000 Olympics. She was the United States Women's National Team's leading scorer.
She received her BA in Physical Education from UC Berkeley in 1992. She is the mother of three children.
