Joshua Greene is a psychology professor and member of the Center for Brain Science faculty at Harvard University where he has spent most of his career. His research interests cluster around the intersection of philosophy psychology and neuroscience.
Best known for his research on the cognitive neuroscience of moral judgment his more recent work examines how the brain combines concepts to form thoughts and how thoughts are manipulated in reasoning and imagination. Greene is the author of Moral Tribes: Emotion Reason and the Gap Between Us and Them.
