Wolff spent three years of collegiate soccer at the University of South Carolina, scoring 21 goals and eight assists in 43 games while sharing the field with Clint Mathis, another future US national team player. Wolff joined Major League Soccer during his junior season and was assigned to the Chicago Fire.
