Josh Viertel is president of Slow Food USA a member-based nonprofit organization that works to create a world in which everyone can eat food that is good for them good for the people who grow it and good for the planet.
Long a proponent of a good clean fair food system Viertel has made significant contributions to the sustainable food movement in the past as a teacher farmer and activist. He co-founded and co-directed the Yale Sustainable Food Project which brought local organic food to Yale University
