Jose Baez is an author and attorney known for being the lead attorney for Casey Anthony who was acquitted of murder in July 2011. The trial gained international attention and Baez wrote a book with Peter Golenblock Presumed Guilty. The book became a New York Times Best Seller.
Baez also defended late American football player Aaron Hernandez in his 2012 double murder charge and his 2013 murder appeal. Baez attended Miama-Dade Community College before transferring to Florida State University where he graduated with a BA. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law.
