Joneigh Khaldun

Dr. Joneigh S. Khaldun serves as a renowned physician who combines expertise in public health with advocacy for health equity. The Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) welcomes Dr. Khaldun as their President and CEO since January 2025 to direct public health system improvements throughout America. Dr. Khaldun served as the Vice President and Chief Health Equity Officer at CVS Health before taking her current role where she implemented health equity strategies throughout every business segment of the organization.

Throughout her professional career Dr. Khaldun has focused on reducing health gaps while building stronger public health systems. Dr. Khaldun functioned as Chief Medical Executive and Chief Deputy Director for Health at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services where she managed public health together with Medicaid and behavioral health and aging services. She played a crucial role in Michigan's COVID-19 response by developing strategies to fight racial disparities and by heading the initiative to disclose COVID-19 case data based on racial categories.
