Jonathan Martin served as an NFL offensive lineman until he became a leading sports advocate for mental health awareness and sports integrity after enduring bullying in the Miami Dolphins' locker room. The Dolphins released Martin from their team in 2013 because he faced harassment from teammate Richie Incognito and other teammates. The Wells Report exposed the toxic team environment which proved the necessity for fundamental changes in athlete welfare management.

After his football retirement Martin dedicated himself to mental health advocacy through public speaking and media appearances to fight bullying and establish supportive sports environments. Through various media appearances and public talks Martin shares his story to create mental health awareness among athletes while promoting their well-being.
