The Jonas Brothers are an American pop boy band. The band gained its popularity from the Disney Channel children's television network. From the shore region of New Jersey the band consists of three brothers: Kevin Joe and Nick. In the summer of 2008 they starred in the Disney Channel Original Movies Camp Rock and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. The band has released four albums: It's About Time Jonas Brothers A Little Bit Longer Lines Vines and Trying Times and V. In 2008 the group was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards and won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards. They have sold over 8 million albums worldwide. Their debut studio album It's About Time was released in 2006 on Columbia Records. The album sold 62000 copies in the US. After briefly being without a label the Jonas Brothers signed with Hollywood Records in February 2007. Their self-titled second album was released on August 7 2007. It reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart in its first week.
