In the Busch Series, Sauter will drive the No. 30 Richard Childress Racing Nextel Cup AOL Chevrolet and the No. 27 Kleenex/Scott Products Chevrolet, both from the BREWCO Motorsports stable. As part of a two-driver effort in the No. 21 PayDay Chevrolet with fellow RCR driver Kevin Harvick, Sauter helped Childress win the 2003 Busch Series Owner's Championship.
In addition, he placed tenth in the 2003 Busch Series driver standings.
