John Sculley was always fascinated by electronics as a child, and when he was five, he requested Santa for a dry-cell battery, a buzzer, and a connection wire. He started deconstructing radios and transforming them into intercoms when he was 10 years old.
He created a color cathode-ray tube as a teenager that would have been the prototype for the Triniton color TV tube if he hadn't been beaten to the patent.
