John Grosvenor Rowland is a former American politician and a convicted criminal on two occasions. From 1995 until 2004, he served as the 86th Governor of Connecticut, and he was a Republican politician. His second wife, Patty Rowland, is his second wife, and they have five children together.
During a corruption probe in 2004, Rowland resigned from office and later pled guilty to a one-count charge of conspiracy to conduct honest services fraud, mail fraud, and tax fraud in federal court. In 1784, he was the first governor of Connecticut to be elected to three terms.
