John Raymond is the Chief Executive Officer and managing partner of Energy & Minerals Group, which he established in 2006. He has been a chairman of Vulcan Energy Corp. since 2004, following the management-led takeover of Plains Resources Incorporated, and was its Chief Executive Officer from 2004 to 2005.
He previously worked as Chief Executive Officer of Plains Resources Incorporated, the publicly listed pioneer to Vulcan Energy, as well as senior vice president and chief operating officer. He was chairman and chief operating officer of Plains Exploration and Production Company from December 2002 to March 2004. He is also a chairman of Plains All American Pipeline LP.
