John Price is a pioneer in market intelligence for Latin America and the Managing Director of Americas Market Intelligence (AMI), a leading expert in Latin American market intelligence with over 30 years of experience advising global firms. He has guided more than 50 multinational companies in Miami through strategic market entry, competitive intelligence, and risk analysis across 20+ Latin American countries. His career began in 1992 when he founded InfoMex, later rebranded as InfoAmericas, which grew into the region's largest independent market intelligence firm. 2007, he sold it to Kroll Associates, establishing their first market intelligence practice. In 2011, Price co-founded AMI, a premier consultancy with offices in Mexico City, São Paulo, and San Francisco, serving industries like payments, logistics, healthcare, and natural resources.
Price has led over 4,000 client engagements and personally overseen nearly 1,200 projects. His insights stem from a deep understanding of Latin America's economic, political, and social landscapes. He authors a column in Latin Trade, has published over 100 articles, and co-edited “Can Latin America Compete?” (2007), which analyzes regional competitiveness. His annual Latin America Forecast highlights trends like AI adoption, economic nationalism, and shifting demographics, such as Gen Z's and baby boomers' influence.
