Oklahoma's John Moreland is a rootsy ardent vocalist/lyricist who became out of troublemaker in his teenagers to turn into a praised Americana and alt-down home craftsman. Conceived in Longview Texas in 1985 Moreland experienced childhood in Oklahoma in a regular workers group of exacting Southern Baptists.
As a youngster, he was first acquainted with music by tuning in to his dad play Neil Young and Creedence Clearwater Revival melodies at home on the guitar. Around age ten Moreland started playing guitar himself and by his adolescents was playing in different nearby troublemaker and metalcore groups including Thirty Called Arson.
