John Cougar Mellencamp was a pop sensation during the 1980s and is known as one of rock's most suffering acts. In Mellencamp's initial profession he recorded a few demos of his melodies and in the long run moved to New York City to dispatch his vocation.
In 1976 he handled an administrator Tony DeFries who worked with any semblance of David Bowie. DeFries chose to change Mellencamp's last name to Cougar accepting that it makes him all the more speaking to the record-purchasing open. Mellencamp was not satisfied with this choice and would later come back to his original name.
