The Rhodes Trustees have collectively chosen Dr. John Hood (New Zealand and Worcester 1976) to succeed Lord Waldegrave as Chair of the Rhodes Trustees from December 2011. Dr. Hood is President and CEO of the Robertson Foundation.
He was Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford from 2004 to 2009 propelling the Oxford Thinking effort (which has raised well over £1 billion for Oxford) and was Vice-Chancellor of the University of Auckland from 1999 to 2004. John Hood initially came to Oxford in 1976 as a Rhodes Scholar to peruse Management having just finished a Ph.D.
