John Godwin Biography

John Godwin grew up shooting deer with his father, but when he was introduced to the world of waterfowl, he fell in love with duck calls. After Phil Robertson adjusted his call to make it fit for competition, he took third in his first calling event as a youngster (Phil happened to be one of the judges). Since 2002, John has been with Duck Commander. Building duck calls, handling supplies, and coordinating the shipping department are just a few of his responsibilities. However, during duck season, John's major job title is decoy technician. He determines where the decoys should be put and inspects all equipment after the hunt to ensure it is in good working order for the next day's hunt.
