Dr. John J. Jack DeGioia became Georgetown University's 48th President on July 1, 2001. DeGioia started his expert vocation at Georgetown in the wake of moving on from the College of Arts and Sciences in 1979. He held different authority positions all through the University for over two decades before turning out to be President.
Notwithstanding his managerial experience, DeGioia is a Professorial teacher and employee in Georgetown's Department of Philosophy and has trained undergrad Philosophy courses at Georgetown consistently since accepting his doctorate from Georgetown College in 1995. Instructed in the Catholic and Jesuit convention DeGioia is Georgetown University's previously lay president.
