John Burton-Race, a British Michelin-starred chef, television personality, and celebrity chef, was born on May 1, 1957, and is best known for the Channel 4 series French Leave, as well as its sequels Return of the Chef and I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here. He had an appearance on ITV's I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!
in November 2007. He had a number of major spats with fellow participant Lynne Franks during the competition, owing to their diametrically opposed personalities. He was also the camp's principal cook, and he despised fellow contender Janice Dickinson's unwillingness to eat kangaroo, crocodile, or possum meat.
