John Allen Paulos is a creator open speaker and science educator at Temple University. His eight books incorporate the New York Times smash hit Innumeracy A Mathematician Reads the Newspaper (one of Random House Modern Library's 100 best genuine books of the century) Once Upon a Number and A Mathematician Plays the Stock Market.
He is a previous feature writer for ABCNews.com Scientific American and The Guardian and he has tended to crowds including the National Academy of Sciences the Hasty Pudding Club and the David Letterman Show. Paulos got the AAAS grant for advancing open comprehension of science in 2003 and the JPBM Mathematics Communication Award in 2013.
