The trailblazing Amazon series Transparent, a touching comedy that deftly examines identity, love, sex, god, and limits through the lives of a complex American family, was created by Joey Soloway. Transparent garnered 24 Emmy nominations, 8 Emmy wins, and 2 Golden Globe nominations. Soloway cofounded 5050by2020, a Time's Up strategic project and network for artist empowerment.
In order to support 10 artists of color who also identify as transgender, non-binary, handicapped, undocumented, or formerly undocumented, they established the Disruptors Fellowship, a five-month program. Along with Topple Books, a Little A imprint, Soloway launched Topple, an intersectional brand for the revolution that produces TV and cinema content.
