Chris Varvares is the President of Macroeconomic Advisers, which he co-founded in 1982 with Joel Prakken and Laurence Meyer under the name Laurence H. Meyer & Associates. When Dr. Meyer joined the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in June 1996, the business became Macroeconomic Advisers. Mr.
Varvares has over 25 years of expertise in macroeconomic forecasting and policy research, both as a principal of Macroeconomic Advisers and as a member of the President's Council of Economic Advisers' staff (1982 to present) (1981-1982). In April 1982, he was a member of the US delegation to the OECD while at the Council.
