The Right Honourable Joe Clark, Canada's sixteenth Prime Minister, is widely regarded as among the most respected Canadians in history. Clark's mixture of honesty, dedication, experience, and flaming passion for the betterment of his country is the basis of all of his riveting presentations. He returned to the cabinet of Brian Mulroney in 1984 as a senior cabinet minister after leaving the office, and retired in 1993. Later, in 1998, he made a political comeback to lead the Progressive Conservatives before their disbandment, and he served his final period in Parliament from 2000 to 2004. Clark is still very active in international business as well as governance as the chairman and founder of a company extracting underwater timber in Ghana; the head of the BDA foundation, which focuses on teaching Congolese farmers how to harvest and market medicinal plants; as well as an active participant in developing-country political reforms. He has helped lead international election observation teams in Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Lebanon, Mexico, Nigeria, and Clark is vice-chairman of the non-profit Global Leadership Foundation, a small number of former Heads of Government and diplomats who assist governments in the developing world in times of crisis.
