Jodi-Ann Burey is a writer, critic, speaker, and podcaster who focuses on the intersections of race, culture, and health equity. She wrote, “Authentic: The Myth of Bringing Your Full Self to Work” (2025), which challenges corporate narratives around authenticity and inclusion. A Boston College and University of Michigan (MPH) alum, she has over 15 years of experience across corporate, nonprofit, startup, and entrepreneurial roles.  Burey delivered a popular TEDx talk on the same theme and co-authored the highly viewed Harvard Business Review article “Stop Telling Women They Have Imposter Syndrome.” A cancer survivor diagnosed with a spinal tumor in 2018, she created and hosts the “Black Cancer” podcast, sharing stories of people of color navigating cancer and health inequities. She also co-hosts “Lit Lounge”, a book and author interview series.
