Jimmie Fails is a film and tv actor probably most famous for his major role in the semi-autobiographical film The Last Black Man in San Francisco. Fails was born and brought up in Francisco, CA, where he resided in the dominantly Black middle-class Fillmore neighborhood until the age of 3.
His grandfather's house was evicted after his grandad died since his relatives could not afford the expenditure, and he spent the rest of his childhood in foster homes and social housing. Only he and his dad stayed in the city; the rest of the family had opted to leave.
