Jim Baron is the men's basketball coach for the Canisius College Golden Griffins in the United States. He previously worked at Saint Francis University, St. Bonaventure University, and the University of Rhode Island in the same capacity. Between nine seasons at St. Bonaventure and eleven seasons at Rhode Island, Baron coached in the Atlantic 10 Conference for 20 years.
He signed a contract extension with Rhode Island for the 2013–14 season in April 2010. In 2011–12, however, his contract was terminated after a 7–24 season and a second-to-last place conference finish.
