Jim Armstrong worked as a sportswriter for the Denver Post. He covered the Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos, and Denver Nuggets after joining the publication in 1994 and was a writer when he was fired in sports betting controversy on November 4, 2011. He also contributes to America Online and has filled in for Woody Paige on ESPN's Around the Horn.
He used to work for the Memphis Commercial Appeal and the Racine Journal-Times, among other publications. Armstrong has won multiple awards, including three times as Colorado Sportswriter of the Year.
