Jillian Lagasse's skill and genuine love for food were evident from a young age. Acknowledging her natural talent in the kitchen, her father gave her a set of Chefs Whites and let her work in the Pastry and Dessert Department of one of his restaurants. This led to her helping him on book tours, cooking events, and even collaborating with him on his recipe book "Emeril's Creole Christmas".Jillian decided to pursue another devotion in 2004, the same year she was diagnosed with Celiac disease, and moved to London, England, to attend a reputed make-up and airbrush artistry school. Her career took off right away, taking her to places like Los Angeles, Mumbai, and New York City. She continued working with her father, but in a different role, moving from the kitchen to the television set, becoming the staff makeup artist for The Cooking Channel's "The Originals" programme, as well as The Hallmark Channel's "Emeril's Table." Jillian is primarily stationed in both New Orleans and London. An apron is always packed and ready for cooking in any kitchen she comes across along the way. Jessie Lagasse Swanson is just a girl who needed to eat gluten-free and decided that she wanted better food than what was available to those with her situation. Before becoming a full-time mother, Jessie worked as a CPA specialising in tax and litigation support. Tulane University awarded her an undergrad degree in classical studies as well as a master's degree in business administration. Jessie and her husband established Louisiana Oilworks, a waste vegetable oil recycling company, in 2008, after she had always wanted to run her own business. She was in charge of the administrative side of things until 2009, when she "retired" to motherhood! Jessie resides in New Orleans with her husband, Steven, and their sons, Jude and John Peter.
