She studied creative crafts at City College in Brighton and womenswear fashion design at Istituto Marangoni where she earned first class honors. While studying womenswear design Lomax was able to participate in internships from high-end fashion labels like Giles Deacon Roksanda Illincic and Alexander McQueen. Her first full-time job was at Hussein Chalayan working with Puma in London.
