The daughter of actor Bert Convy and producer Anne Convy Jennifer grew up in the world of entertainment. Following many visits to sets studios and theaters Jennifer too set her sights on the dramatic arts. After graduating from Arizona State University she studied in New York before returning to Los Angeles to launch a career in television.
