Jenner was up in the Chicago suburbs and began his professional culinary career as a chef and dishwasher at a neighborhood restaurant at the age of 14. He then moved on to Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he received degrees in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management.
Jenner worked at Hilton Head after college before returning to Chicago to pursue a career in fine dining. He ultimately obtained a position at MK in Chicago, working with chefs Michael Kornick and Erick Williams.
