My research combines personality psychology, social psychology, and developmental psychology. My team and I are particularly interested in implementing school-based gratitude interventions to promote healthy youth development. We are especially interested about doing field experiments while researching gratitude's role in fostering well-being, as well as other more traditional school outcomes including engagement, prosocial behavior, and the teacher-student connection.
I was formerly an Associate Editor for The Journal of Positive Psychology, and my work has featured in the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and other publications.
