John Ellis "Jeb" Bush, born on February 11, 1953, is an American businessman and politician who held the position of the 43rd governor of Florida from 1999 to 2007. Bush, who spent his childhood in Houston, was the second son of former President George H. W.

Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush, as well as the younger brother of former President George W. Bush. He obtained his education from Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, and earned a degree in Latin American affairs from the University of Texas at Austin. In 1980, Bush relocated to Florida and ventured into real estate development.
