Jason Terry entered the NBA as a first-round choice out of the University of Arizona in 1999. As a Wildcat, he helped lead his team to the 1997 NCAA National Championship and averaged 21.9 points as a senior, earning him Consensus First Team All-American and Pac-10 Player of the Year accolades in 1999.
He soon became a sensation after joining the Hawks the next season, winning NBA All Rookie Second Team accolades in his debut season and averaged over 18 points in his first five seasons in the league until joining the Dallas Mavericks in 2004. Throughout his career, he has been a standout starting guard as well as a useful bench player.
