Janet Gonzalez-Mena is presently self-employed and does workshops, lectures, and training on baby and toddler care, diversity, parenting, and early childhood education in general. She also enjoys taking on initiatives. She is now working on developing diversity training for child care services with California Tomorrow.
She spends her time at home writing books and articles while she is not working outdoors. She's now working on two co-authored novels. One is a college textbook on child development that looks at the cultural environment of development. Her co-author is a Chilean who now calls Canada home.
