She played Dolly Parton in a theatrical presentation of Dolly's Life at Dollywood when she was eight years old. Arthur began working at the Country Tonite Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, as a young actor in 2001.
Arthur returned to the Country Tonite Theater stage as an adult performer and stayed with the group for another four years until moving to Nashville, Tennessee in 2010 to pursue her music career. Arthur tried out for American Idol in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has previously auditioned in the 10th and 11th seasons.
