Jan King married a doctor and had two children and for six years taught biology to inner city students in Philadelphia. As her husband’s medical career took off the family moved around the country a lot. These moves taking her away from family and friends would turn out to be the catalyst for turning this biology teacher into a humor writer.In order not to lose touch Jan King corresponded with friends through funny letters.
