Jan Gehl, a legendary architect, has been dubbed "the last living internationally known master in urbanization." For the past half-century, Gehl has been reconstructing cities to meet the requirements of modern civilizations. From Sao Paolo to New York, Copenhagen, Moscow, and Singapore, he has been involved in the reconstruction of nearly every major city.
Gehl co-founded Gehl Architects with Helle Sholt in 2000 and served as a Partner until 2011. Jan now works at Gehl as a Senior Advisor. Through his publications and seminars, he continues to explore and expand the people-first city planning concept.
