Louis Blues in the second round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft with the 34th overall pick.Allen was born in Fredericton New Brunswick as the son of Kurt and Susan Allen of Fredericton. Allen grew up in St. Stephen New Brunswick where his father worked as a high school teacher until 1999 when they moved to New Maryland New Brunswick.
