Two of his partly dubbed 'ghetto' albums, released in 2001 and 2002, were on the edge of reaching #1 on the Billboard 200 list in the United States, but Jaheim's third album, "Ghetto Classics," snatched the top spot on February 24, 2006.
The previous week's frontrunner, Jack Johnson's soundtrack CD "Curious George," was knocked down by "Ghetto Classics," which sold over 152,000 units in its first week. He was fortunate to collaborate with three outstanding producers for the R&B album, Scott Storch, KayGee, and Bink, and he also released the first song "Everytime I Think About Her," which featured rapper Jadakiss.
