Jagadeesh Gokhale is widely regarded as one of the country's leading economists, with expertise in entitlement reform, labor productivity and pay, U.S. fiscal policy, and the influence of fiscal policy on future generations. He collaborates with the Cato Institute's Project on Social Security Choice to explore changes for systems including Social Security and Medicare.
In 2002, Jagadeesh Gokhale worked as a consultant for the United States Department of Treasury, and in 2003, he was a visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). From 1990 to 2003, Gokhale served as the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland's senior economic adviser.
