Jackson Kaguri was born and reared in the tiny hamlet of Nyakagyezi in Uganda. He co-founded Human Rights Concerns to assist victims of human rights violations in Uganda and to educate the public about their rights. As a human rights champion, fundraiser, and motivational speaker, he has contributed significantly to worldwide community initiatives throughout the years.

In reaction to the terrible impacts of AIDS in his community, Kaguri created The Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project in 2001. The charity, which recently marked its tenth anniversary, offers free education to children whose parents have died as a result of HIV/AIDS.
