Jackson Nickerson is a nonresident senior fellow in Governance Studies at The Brookings Institution, where he will head the Brookings-Olin Executive Education cooperation. He is also the Frahm Family Professor of Organization and Strategy at Washington University in St. Louis' John M. Olin School of Business. In 1996, Jackson enrolled at Washington University in St. Louis' Olin School of Business.

He teaches strategic management courses on topics such as innovation, life science management, organizational strategy, and critical thinking. His study focuses on why businesses adopt various organizational structures and the performance consequences of these decisions, with a particular emphasis on knowledge, creativity, and problem solving. His most ambitious study to date focuses on pharmaceutical production and FDA monitoring.
