Ivelse Andino is an Afro-Latina health equity innovator and visionary. A native of The Bronx, she faced firsthand systemic healthcare inequities managing her mother’s cancer diagnosis. There was a dire lack of literacy for marginalized groups when navigating established medical systems. This was the impetus for her founding of Radical Health in 2015, the first Latina-owned and operated Public Benefit Corporation in New York State. 

Andino started her career in health tech, pioneering digital health solutions. She brought the first mobile app prescribing platform to market and worked with global clients like the National Health Service (NHS London) and Kaiser Permanente. Her professional background includes marketing roles at biotech giants like Genentech and Pfizer, where she trained oncologists on new drugs. 

Andino is also commissioner of the New York City Commission on Gender Equity and a recognized speaker on health equity, diversity, and technology. She has been honored as a Roddenberry Fellow and NEXUS Impact Accelerator Fellow for her innovative approach to healthcare reform. 

Her push for healthcare fluency has educated marginalized groups, including the undocumented, women of color, and LGBTQ communities.
