Ilona Kickbusch is the Director of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. She was the director of the global health program at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, before returning to Europe. Professor Kickbusch had a remarkable career with the World Health Organization, having served at both the regional and global levels.
He was the primary author of the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion, a fundamental text in public health. She was also the driving force behind WHO's Health Behaviour in School-Aged Children (HBSC) Study.
